Following the Bands very succesful gig alongside Walter Trout and the Radicals at The Wharf - Tavistock, Devon on the 23/10/05, Keith had the great honour to be invited by Walter to Jam with him during his gig at The Falmouth Pavillions - Cornwall on 27/10/05.
It was great to hear them both ripping into a smokin' slow blues in E, a memorable moment and a wonderful time had by all.

BLUE ON BLACK Turning Up
Independent Release. 12 tracks. 46.58 mins.
Blue On Black are a three piece blues/rock band comprising Keith Howe: guitar and lead vocals, Alan Ibbotson: drums, percussion & vocals and Steve Jones: bass and vocals.
All the material is self-penned, the songs were recorded in Newquay, but their hearts seem to be on the other side Atlantic.
The sound is gritty and Blue On Black's solid workmanlike approach is perfect for the pub rock scene, although a more international status is suggested in pictures depicting opening for Deep Purple and on stage in the USA.
The opening track "Bad-ass dude" name-checks the Pontiac automobile. The acoustic slide of "King o' spades" is neat, but then the AC/DC influenced intro to "Smokin' gun" picks up one of the recurring themes, if not obsessions of a band on the road.
The cool rhythms of "Black cadillac" portray the atmospherics of interstate cruising, and indicates a cultural imagination way beyond the shores of Cornwall.
"Boys in trouble" is vintage Status Quo, followed by the vocal effects, slide and of course Shelby Mustang cruising though the standout "Big boss".
These boys certainly love their Yank Tanks.
The electronica of "Zbd" is another welcome interlude before more fuzz guitar and sly cynical lyrics of "Rock 'n' roll bitches".
Howe's clean guitar picking is more welcome on the moody "Cold wind blows" - the best track.
On a reflective overview, a mixed bag that balances some inventive highlights with a few rather more predictable songs.

Band open for Walter Trout
The Band had the great honour of making the pilgrimage to Wilbarston (Leicestershire UK) on Friday 12/08/05 to open up for the mighty Walter Trout and the Radicals.
What a night! The Boys were on fire and made many friends (and sold many CDs - special thanks to Heather Bryant for helping out on the Bands stall).
Playing around 45 minutes the sound was awesome as they stormed through many favourites such as "Black Cadillac", "Smokin Gun", etc. Audience reaction was superb and many friends were made that night.

To make the night perfect the Boys had the great privilege of seeing, hearing and meeting Walter and the Band after their performance. As usual Walter played magnificently and brought the house down.
Truly a rockin night to remember for both bands.

Salcombe & Truro
Both great outdoor gig's for the band and supported by thousands of people who came to enjoy themselves and were not disappointed.
The Salcombe Festival saw the Band headlining on the Saturday Night and watched by a huge audience who rocked the night away – truly awesome.

Truro (Boscawen Park) was put on as a Family Day and the Boys entertained a mixture of ages from the very young to the very old with some of their best Rock and Blues material.
It was a local gig for them and lots of band T Shirts were in sight. The day's takings went to many local charities including the air ambulance so not only was it a great gig but also for the benefit of great causes.
At the request of the wonderful Buddy Fleitz, Keith made a guest appearance on his "Valley Musicians" web radio show Monday 15/08/05
Buddy and Keith talked for nearly two hours playing 10 of the 12 CD tracks along the way.
It was a great show, going out to many people in many different countries and a terrific opportunity for the Band to reach a huge audience - thanks again Buddy.
